The generated waveform then passes through an additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel to simulate an over-the-air transmission. In our tests, the Aries Home+ passed a variety of multichannel soundtracks: Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS 5.1, Dolby Digital EX, and 7.1 PCM (but not the highest-quality, uncompressed Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio formats).
