This project's mission is to improve the interface of the game using modifications created by the community.These mods will work with SAMP and MTA, it is recommended to downgrade your game if you run Steam version. By installing those mods you are breaking the Rockstar end user license agreement which means their support will not be able to assist you.
Extract archive contents to your game directory and replace original files.That's it you can now play the game! If you want full manual installation or looking for creators check list below, every mod used is there. And if you want original HUD positioning simply remove HD HUD inside modloader folder.
All radar and weapon icons have been redrawn in 4096x496, as well as the sniper rifle crosshair, regular crosshair, rocket launcher crosshair, the radar disc, and the pager. Load screens have been remastered from the PS2 version in 3840x2160 (there is some stretching, but I myself think it looks more natural rather than the narrow characters in the originals).Weapon icons come in full grayscale or the PS2 color.Comes with one extra load screen made from scratch by me to replace a duplicate.
This does not come with any TXDs, as not everyone will want the full 4K quality (I don't even keep them 4K).I suggest you use Magic.TXD to pack them and lower the resolution if you like (I lower the load screens to 1920x1080, and all icons to 1024x1024).

EDIT: In my stupidity, I neglected to mention that YOEL_44's HD pager from here was used as a base to create mine, and had heavy influence on it. I apologize for neglecting to mention it before, it slipped my mind, Great work to him, and credit to many others for inspiring my new HUD and icons. I can't remember all the names (I no longer even have GTA 3 installed) but I know that yojo's HD radar icons were used as a base to create mine, as well.
I've yet to see the load screens remastered. I've not seen any blurring on anything other than the load screens, and that's because there's only so much I can possible do to make them look good at a higher resolution. Later on I will try to remove some of the blurriness, see what I can do.
The load screens looks amazing (except for 24 - looks different than the vanilla, and the background ir really low res, even tho in mobile version there is available high res)Also what is original aspect ration of these loadscreens? They seems to be a bit streched.
As for the aspect ratio - They were all originally 512x512, so yeah they're a bit stretched. It was a compromise because I didn't like how "narrow" the characters were in the original. Looked unnatural to me (and a few other people I asked had agreed). I can remaster them in their original aspect ratio later if you want.
It isn't exactly yours. I used yours as a base to create that one. The reason it looks so similar is because I used an upscaled version of yours, created an outline of it, and filled in color details based on it. I do admit that yours had a big part in the creation, and my apologies for neglecting to mention it. It didn't occur to me at the time. Thank you for your work, and I'll edit the original post now.
So everyone, it's been a while since I made this. I'm moving soon, and once I do, I'll be going through and completely updating this pack. I'll once again remake the weapon and radar icons, and I'll redo the load screens (and keep the 1:1 aspect ratio). Other than that, I don't know how much I'll end up doing.
I figured out how to mod these into the game after several hours or trying different things. In case someone else gets stuck, you need to use the program Magic.TXD, open up the hud.txd file from GTA III/models/find the texture with the same name and replace it.I have only installed the radardisc texture, and it created a glitch with the inside of the map sticking out of the edges by several pixels. I fixed it by editing the texture in Photoshop. Here it is if anyone wants it.

The size of this preview is 1600x1200. When this mod will be released the size of the image will be 2048x1536. Right now it's 4:3 aspect ratio. In release it'll have both 4:3 and 16:9 (16:10 might be as well).
It wasn't difficult to make remastered title screen because I'm basically used the original artworks in highest quality I could find. The research of those artworks itself and editing took some time. But to make a remastered loading screens I need to fully recreate them from scratch. I can do this, but I don't know when I'll have enough motivation and time for it. But sometime it'll happen i'm sure. Right now we have some hq loading screens from mobile version and it can be enough for now.

Hi, I tried it, pure nostalgia, it gave to this game more of a GTA feeling and I like it! But it have few issues. Cash numbers are too big, so when you have more than 100 milions, it will contionue to show up next number in right side, not in the left side, and if you end up with billions, the last number is nearly at the end of screen on the right side. It could be resolved by making the numbers smaller, so there can be more digits in the HUD, or making the new numbers appear in left side instead of right. Next one is a conflict with weapon stats while using weapon wheel. That could be also resolved by frontend.xml (update\update.rpf\common\data\ui), by making "HUD_WEAPON_WHEEL_STATS" appear in bottom by changing alignY="T" (Top) to alignY="B" (Bottom). The last issue is HUD is active in pause menu and cutscenes. But even it has these problems, I still love it. Great work.
okay, messing with frontend.xml will break your game, I had lower performance and then I messed it it more and got different controls and lot of HUD was not working correctly, so don't try what I wrote above...
