The CPA Examination is the internationally recognized standard of professional accountability. It is a process where certificants test their knowledge and skills using multiple choice questions and is designed to ensure that candidates possess the knowledge and skills needed to be a CPA. The CPA Examination is administered on four separate days in February, and candidates must pass all four days in order to earn the CPA certification.
The ECFVG administers the CPA Examination. All candidates have the opportunity to sit for and retake the CPA Examination; however, there are no refunds for retakes. Candidates are required to pay the retest exam fee of $175, which is not refundable. If the CPA Board approves, candidates may also take the CPA Exam at a location other than Washington, D.C. Candidates who take the CPA Exam at an alternate location are required to pay an additional fee of $249. Candidates must have a valid passport and travel to the alternate exam location with two passport-size photos.
Upon acceptance of your candidacy, you will be asked to acknowledge that you have read the Candidate Bulletin. If you do not agree to all of the terms and conditions of the Candidate Bulletin, you may not sit for the examination. If you have questions about the CPA Exam non-disclosure agreement, contact the ECFVG's CPA Exam Support Group.
