The New York Post reports that Apple is in advanced talks to secure a 60,000 square foot office space in the ultra-premium Hudson Yards area of Manhattan. The rumored office space is set to be housed at a building which is still under construction, and Apple would join other luxury business tenants such as Point72 Asset Management, private equity firm Silver Lake, and various law firms.

Construction of 55 Hudson Yards began in 2015, and the building began accepting tenants two years later. Commercial office tenants started moving into the tower in January 2019. The building is now in talks with Apple about leasing 60,000 square feet of either retail or office space.

Apple is looking to move to a Hudson Yards office tower, the New York Post reported Monday. The company is in advanced talks to secure 60,000 square feet at 55 Hudson Yards, a 51-story building opening soon, as well as possible retail space at the mega-development site. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and Kevin Roche, the 779-foot-tower features light-filled offices with modest-sized floor plans.

Apple has been on the hunt for Manhattan office space for months. In February, reports claimed the tech giant was in advanced negotiations for a 60,000-square-foot location at the upscale 55 Hudson Yards. More recent rumblings in August, which first mentioned Apple's interest in Farley, suggest the company seeks up to 750,000 square feet of space in the city.
